Steve Fitzgerald brings more than 30 years of executive leadership and board experience to KFFR. He is the Chief Executive Officer of the FireStorm Group Ltd, where he works across human capital consulting, art, and real estate. Steve specializes in talent development, executive succession, culture and change, and human capital strategy, and is known for tackling complex people and organizational challenges. He also coaches C-suite leaders and serves on multiple boards, bringing a strong governance and strategic lens to nonprofit leadership.
Throughout his career, Steve has held senior executive and top HR leadership roles at organizations including Bridgewater Associates, Vail Resorts, Visteon, Fairlane Credit, Sun Microsystems, and Avaya. His early career at Ford Motor Company helped shape his long-standing focus on systematic talent development within large and complex organizations. This depth of experience informs his thoughtful, systems-oriented approach as a board member.

Steve is deeply engaged in the Grand County community and regional arts landscape. He chairs the Fraser Public Arts Committee, serves as President of Fraser Valley Arts, and sits on the board of the Colorado Headwaters Land Trust. He is also the owner and principal artist of Firestorm Clayworks, an award-winning pottery studio. Steve and his wife Diana live in the Fraser Valley, where his commitment to community, arts, and stewardship aligns closely with KFFR’s mission and values.
