KFFR is volunteer powered community radio.
There are many ways to volunteer, but most of our volunteers choose to be a DJ on the station.
We have other opportunities for volunteering including special events (set up, manning, tear down), grant searching, grant writing, fundraising, and more! Please use the following application to apply ad mention an interest you have other than being a DJ
The process to become a DJ begins with completing the form below, and scheduling a time to train on the equipment.
Following training a new DJ is expected to:
1. Shadow at least one other DJ slots for a minimum of 1 hour.
2. Be a substitute for at least one current show during business hours.
3. Commit to a time slot between 1-2 hours a month.
4. Commit to being a member of the station at $60/year.
DJs can produce a show once a month, once a week, or once every two weeks, depending on schedule.
