Workshop goals (what people should be able to do in 1 hour)

By the end, each participant can:

  1. Run a fast, effective pre-interview that makes the artist comfortable and prevents surprises.
  2. Facilitate a live conversation that centers the musician (not the DJ) and stays on track.
  3. Use mic technique that avoids feedback, noise, and “mystery echo.”
  4. Handle common mistakes and technical issues calmly on-air.
  5. Identify FCC underwriting + plugola/payola red flags in a live music setting.
