Mateo’s Magic Bus
Since the early 70s when my brother began to bring home samplings of the incredible, and in some ways unparalleled music of the time – it seemed almost daily – I became a huge music fan.
The key is to recognize the roots of blues and jazz and how they run through just about all modern music – at the same time there is an incredible movement and merging of all these music forms going on – my goal is to shine a bright light on the artists making this music wherever they are in the world, while not losing sight of where we came from.
