The Open Lands, Rivers and Trails Advisory Committee is accepting application for their spring grant cycle from February 3rd to March 7th.  Funds are designed to help acquire lands, water rights, and maintenance costs for existing trail systems.

OLRT Fund Expiration

  • The OLRT Fund will expire at the end of 2026, unless reinstated by the Grand County voters. The Board of County Commissioners is working with Trust for Public Land to develop a public survey that will be sent out this winter to better understand community needs for the reinstatement of the OLRT Fund going forward. Community members can expect to see a ballot question in 2024 or 2025 regarding reinstating the OLRT Fund. The BOCC will have a discussion on the OLRT Fund during the March 7 County Commissioners meeting. Get the agenda here https://www.co.grand.co.us/988/Meetings-Agendas to stay informed.
