These activities and operations include, but are not limited to, hiring and terminating staff, recruiting and retaining volunteers, sourcing vendors, providing services and programming, training leaders, and welcoming and sustaining members.
As of January 2024, our staff of 2.5 includes one who identifies as female, and two males. Our current board of seven includes four women, one Latinx, and two males. Our 60+ active volunteers and announcers represent a broad range of backgrounds.
Furthermore, we believe in the power of youth representation and empowerment. As stewards of the airwaves, we understand the importance of providing platforms for the voices of tomorrow. Whether through mentorship programs, internships, or dedicated youth segments, we strive to cultivate an environment where young voices are nurtured, valued, and heard.
Community Representation Statement
As a media organization, Fraser Valley Community Media operating KFFR has a responsibility to reflect the issues, cultures and lives of residents in Grand County and the state of Colorado. KFFR is also a member of the Rocky Mountain Community Radio Consortium, allowing the station to broadcast on regional news provided by affiliate stations. KFFR views its responsibility as a community organization to promote the work of municipalities, non-profit organizations and school districts in the county.

Fraser Valley Community Media aims to serve the local population of Grand County through local programming, a robust volunteer DJ program, partnerships with local municipalities and non-profit organizations, and through its participation in the Homegrown Talent Initiative which provides internships to local youth. KFFR Drawings And Contests
KFFR regularly features on-air ticket giveaways and drawings for prizes during fund drives.
Fund Drive Drawings
Drawing winners will be chosen at random and notified by telephone or at an event. No purchase is necessary. Void where prohibited. Must be 18 years or older to enter. No purchase or other consideration is necessary to enter. The information obtained through your registration will not be sold or distributed in any way to a third party.
No purchase or donation necessary to win. To enter without making a donation, mail your name, address, phone number, and email address to KFFR, PO Box 2227, Fraser, CO. In general, all entries must be received by the last day of a fund drive at 11:00 a.m. MT. One entry per person. KFFR employees and their families are not eligible. Donating to KFFR does not increase the chance of winning, nor does the donation amount.
Ticket Giveaways
The criteria for winning tickets shall be announced on-air or within a social media post, such as “3rd caller”, “3rd comment”, or “3rd email”. Winners shall be notified by email, phone call, or direct message as appropriate. KFFR membership is not a requirement for winning.
