In 2023, Fraser Valley Community Media received $5,000 to help expand the staff capabilities of KFFR. KFFR was able to increase hours for the Executive Director position. As a result, the station was able to increase underwriting revenue by 20%, procure an additional 45 members, and increase the stability of the radio signal.
In 2024, Fraser Valley Community Media received $3,500 for a new soundboard for the live stage at KFFR Studios. This equipment allowed KFFR to broadcast music from the live studio as part of the Sound of Grand County Series. It has also given the station the ability to host candidate forums, non-profit events, and other community gatherings.
In 2024, the Town of Winter Park agreed to further support KFFR to assist in disseminating information about council decisions on the air. Working with Slate communications, KFFR airs a one-minute story about council decisions every Wednesday at 7:55 am, and after the Public Affairs show at 4:30 pm.
