The place that is nothing like planet earth, supports KFFR.  Whether it is a summer concert in the park, a candidate forum for trustees, or the Fire and Ice Festival, KFFR is at the center of attraction. This is a true partnership that helps keep our community informed, entertained, and engaged.

In 2021, Fraser Valley Community Media received $15,000 to help offset the hardship that came with the COVID pandemic. At the time, Station Manager, Steve Skinner, was put on furlough, and DJs were not allowed in the studio. This financial support kept KFFR on the air during a time when it didn’t seem possible.

In 2022, Fraser Valley Community Media received $15,000 from the Town of Fraser to help with operational costs and the acquisition of Ryan Wilson as Executive Director of the organization. This influx of funding, helped expand the hours of staff members and was instrumental in making KFFR what it has become today. In addition to this funding, Sarah Wieck, Marketing and Communications Director for the Town of Fraser worked with KFFR staff to promote events and host live broadcasts. This additional amount of funding equaled $3,500.

In 2023, the Town of Fraser and KFFR formalized a service agreement that created a partnership to broadcast at town events such as Fire and Ice, the Fraser Mural Festival, and the Plein Aire at Altitude festival. KFFR also worked with the town manager to host a candidate forum for Fraser Trustees, and it has supported initiatives such as the Downtown Development Authority, a new bike park, and a new logo! The Town of Fraser gave $20,000 to support this partnership.
