This year’s project extends Youth Week to include remote broadcasts at West Grand High School and Granby Middle School while working with interns from the Homegrown Talent Initiative to provide a platform for students to engage in discussions about topics that matter to them. -Monday, May […]

Radio Empowers The old-fashioned medium of radio broadcasting has always—and hopefully always will—empower those behind the microphone. AND, it has the potential to amuse, entertain and empower those who listen. One thing I have learned after 45 years in the community broadcasting business is that you can’t judge a book by the cover and you […]

4H Members prepare for a ride

Listen to Tyler Gross talk about the 4H Club and upcoming Middle Park Fair and Rodeo

Country singer Luke Hickam visited the KFFR studios to sing a few of his favorite tunes. Luke goes to West Grand Middle School and is 13 years old. He performed at the 2022 Blues from the Top music festival in Winter Park.

Fourth Graders from Fraser Valley Elementary School came to KFFR on May 19th for a tour and to speak on the radio. They also selected their DJ names and recorded a killer Legal ID. Click below to hear the recording.

Every year KFFR works with students from Middle Park High School and exposes them to the world of radio and journalism.  Students learn the DJ process, produce identification spots, and even work on lighting at the studio.  Contact steve@kffr.org for more information on the internship program at KFFR.  All students welcome.
