PROMOTIONS AND CONTENT PRODUCER
We are hiring a dynamic local individual with a background in communications, events, marketing, and digital media to join our team at KFFR! As a hub for our vibrant community, we’re seeking someone experienced and enthusiastic about utilizing digital platforms to enhance marketing efforts, expand our community outreach, boost event registrations, and grow our listener base.

KFFR is more than a radio station; it’s a place where our community comes together. We need a passionate individual capable of harnessing their skills and passion for Grand County & community radio to bolster our digital presence. Your role will involve utilizing our platforms to amplify the diverse voices and perspectives within our community, as well as spearheading the marketing efforts for our exceptional annual events and campaigns.
About the Promotions Manager Position
The focus of this role will be managing on-site events, including station fundraising events, concerts in the KFFR Live Studio, live broadcasts, remote broadcasts, and community events. The Content Producer is also responsible for enhancing the station’s image and visibility within the community through social media and online promotions.

Candidates should have the ability to manage some audio production, and assist in community outreach, fundraising events, developing station marketing assets and promoting the station within the community.

What You Will Do

  • Manage promotions of station events and weekly programming on KFFR 88.3FM.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director, Program Director and volunteers to develop and execute all facets of promoting and marketing KFFR.
  • Assist in the creation of marketing assets for events and responsible for building each events ticketing page, assist in the development and management of website content, set up each event on KFFR’s website and calendar, write Live Read Copy and produce on air recorded Promo’s for each show and/or event.
  • Coordinate and communicate closely with KFFR staff to assist with their needs for each show and event. Assist KFFR staff with sound checks prior to each show.
  • Manage station social media content to increase followers and listener engagement.
  • Develop creative and compelling on-air, and online promotions to increase engagement with events and regular programming.
  • Develop and build strong relationships within the community that result in enhanced station visibility, brand recognition, and promotional partnerships that grows KFFR’s visibility.
  • Set up and breakdown of promotional booths and displays at on-site events.
  • Maintain knowledge of current FCC (and other appropriate governmental agencies, CPB, NFCB) regulations, ensuring compliance and protection of station licenses.
  • Interact with volunteers, listeners, co-workers, and station clients in a professional manner.

  • Must be a team player, willing to learn and work hard in a creative fast paced atmosphere while being friendly and helpful to your team members.
  • Must be well organized, and self-motivated with a willingness to learn the various programs needed to perform the job.
  • Must have knowledge of the Grand County music scene, KFFR’s programming and be connected with the local community.
  • Must have a strong understanding of social media platforms, best practices and WordPress.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience with all Social Media Platforms and WordPress
  • Fun and relatable personality that can interact with public.

Pay and Benefits

  • This is a part time position with 10-20 hours per week at $18-$20 per hour, depending on experience and schedule.
  • Opportunity for growth within the organization is available.

Location

  • Position will be expected to be in the office 8 hours a week with the option of remote work outside of these hours.
  • Some work may involve travel to client locations and station events.
