Winter Park Sister City

Tashi, Lhakpa, and Karma Sherpa joined us in the KFFR studios to talk about the Town of Winter Park‘s recent designation of Khumjung, Nepal as their sister city.

Former mayor of Winter Park, Jimmy Lahrman, also came by to talk about his role in making this designation happen in 2020. 

Learn about how the work of Roger Hedlund and the Oslo Foundation and Nepal Here to Help is assisting the village gain access to important resources in education, water, and health care.

We also discussed the similarities and differences between the two high-mountain cultures that are joined together, but exist on opposite sides of the world.
